Associate Director, Incentive Compensation, Neurology
Introduction to role

As the Associate Director, Incentive Compensation, Neurology, you will be at the heart of Alexion’s Neurology business and the Business Operations and Commercial Effectiveness organization. This pivotal role involves leading and administering the entire Incentive Compensation process for the Neurology division. You will be a strategic leader, collaborating with various functional areas to optimize incentive programs. Your expertise will guide the creation, evaluation, and benchmarking of Incentive Plans, ensuring they drive business success.
Accountabilities
- Design and administer field-based compensation programs for the US Neurology business to reward performance and drive results.
- Conduct complex research and analysis of rewards and incentive compensation programs.
- Benchmark Sales Incentive Plan designs for market competitiveness.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to enhance data integration into incentive plans.
- Lead projects developing innovative models and methodologies.
- Create presentation materials for communications, training, and executive reviews.
- Guide senior management and stakeholders through incentive plan approvals.
- Perform quality control measures for accuracy.
- Manage field inquiries related to incentive compensation.
- Partner with technology teams to automate performance reporting and incentive calculations.
- Monitor and analyze incentive plans continuously.
- Stay informed on federal and state regulations impacting compensation programs.
- Ensure compliance with Alexion processes related to incentive compensation.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Business, Finance, Math, or related major is preferred)
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
- Analytics skills inclusive of advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities
- Demonstrated understanding of various incentive compensation plans, including but not limited to commission, goal, and MBO plan designs
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively to express information in both written and oral context
- Detail oriented, strong problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency
- Ability to quickly establish relationships of trust and credibility with internal stakeholder-partners and to be seen as a partner to the business.
- High level of attention to detail paired with the ability to effectively assess and diagnose business needs and develop impactful solutions.
- In-depth strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Deep understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and best practices
- The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment.
