As Director - Lead Product Engineering, you will guide end-to-end product delivery for solutions used by colleagues and patients across the globe. Partnering closely with business and technology collaborators, you will translate sophisticated needs into a clear strategy, resilient products, and measurable value accelerating how we serve some of the most under-served patient communities.

Accountabilities:

  • Product Engineering Leadership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of high-impact technology products that power our commercial and patient applications, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, at quality, and at scale.
  • Engineering Excellence and Secure-by-Design: Establish and carry out standards, patterns, and guardrails for secure-by-design engineering. Champion DevSecOps practices, reliability, and continuous improvement so teams ship fast without compromising safety.
  • Strategic Technical Roadmap: Define and complete a multi-year technical roadmap aligned to business priorities. Prioritize investments, retire technical debt, and ensure platforms evolve to meet future demand.
  • DevSecOps and Cybersecurity: Build robust CI/CD pipelines, automate security controls, and embed threat modeling and vulnerability management from design through operations. Reduce risk while increasing velocity.
  • Operational Excellence: Own availability, performance, and cost efficiency. Drive incident prevention and response, observability, SLAs/SLOs, and post-incident learning to continually set the standard.
  • Collaborator and Vendor Management: Partner with IT Business Partners to lead demand and set the right strategy. Orchestrate vendor ecosystems, negotiate beneficial outcomes, and hold partners accountable.
  • Talent Development: Grow a diverse, high-performing engineering organization. Recruit, coach, and develop leaders; establish clear career paths and build succession depth.
  • Budget and Value Tracking: Set and lead budgets across the portfolio. Track ROI and TCO, optimize spend, and demonstrate value creation for the business and for patients.
  • Global Critical issue and Communication: Serve as the global critical issue point for IT business partners and the business. Resolve sophisticated issues, align collaborators, and maintain trust through clear communication.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Strategic Vision with execution rigor
  • Proven ability or a consistent record of success -leading teams in a matrix and as single contributor- in AI, APIs, DevOps practices, Marketing Automation, Web Technologies, and MarTech environments
  • Consistent record in building technologies and products across platforms and handling change in organizations, developing central initiatives and/or process improvement programs
  • Advance expertise in enterprise integration, API lifecycle, integration and MarTech architecture, agile methodologies, and release management.
  • Ability to navigate effectively in a matrix led environment, including accountability to multiple leaders.
  • Expertise in resource and budget management and prioritization frameworks
  • Demonstrate sophisticated problem solving, communication, analytical, critical thinking, and strong attention to business details.
  • Speak up perspective to challenge the status quo and raise and gain consensus for recommendations.
  • The ability to act independently, concentrate on achieving objectives, and prioritize and handle several tasks simultaneously.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Proven leadership of large-scale product engineering in regulated or healthcare environments.
  • Depth in Salesforce cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP), Mulesoft, modern architectures (microservices, APIs, event-driven), and platform engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, container orchestration, and observability.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and secure software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to translate commercial and patient-facing needs into durable, scalable technology solutions.
  • Experience setting and achieving objectives and key results, DORA metrics, and SRE practices to drive performance.
  • Strength in vendor strategy, contract negotiation, and global delivery management.
  • Executive-level communication and collaborator alignment across business and technology.
