Senior Director, Competitive Intelligence R&I
Are you ready to shape the future of healthcare? We are seeking a Senior Director, Competitive Intelligence R&I to lead and complete competitive intelligence across our entire TA or technology field. This role is pivotal in shaping future-proofed disease therapy area and product strategies, delivering a sustainably differentiated portfolio. You will be part of the Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit, where you will have the opportunity to reimagine the patient journey and bring it to life.
Accountabilities:
As a Senior Director, you will establish strong working relationships across senior leadership, define complex business problems, and translate these into intelligence hypotheses. You will ensure alignment of the competitive intelligence team with key organisational priorities, conduct research, analyse data, and derive actionable insights. Your insights and recommendations will drive high-quality, evidence-driven strategic decisions in areas of the highest priority. You will also be responsible for leading and developing a high performing TA/Technology area aligned competitive intelligence team.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Science related degree
- confirmed experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Prior, direct experience of leading a CI (or similar) team covering both R&D and aspects
- Ability to synthesise and integrate multiple sources of information to provide concise insights and recommendations
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and objectively challenge and influence senior partners and provide alternate solutions
- Navigate complex internal relationships with the ability to overcome resistance
- Ability to build credibility and constructive relationships across senior levels of the organisation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence to present to and engage with senior level partners
- Demonstrated ability to influence and challenge senior level executives.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Deep expertise in relevant TA
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience holders who have a focus in decision analysis, statistics, business or medicine/science.
