Sales Manager

Accountabilities
- Lead a team of 6 Regional Account Managers (RAMs) and coordinate with the other SAM covering the other area in Spain.
- Meet and potentially exceed individual and team annual KPI targets.
- Monitor sales team budget ensuring strategic resources allocation.
- Oversee sales team activity ensuring strategic focus as per call plans.
- Ensure all customer interactions are uploaded onto the CRM system in a timely manner.
- Provide timely and accurate sales data to the Business Unit Lead (BUL) including forecasts, sales reports, SFE metrics reports, business intelligence reports.
- Partner with the BUL and the cross-functional Brand Team contributing to the development of strategic and tactical plans.
- Support and coordinate sales team local annual plans and ensure execution.
- Monitor business environment and adjust plans accordingly in alignment with the BUL.
- Support sales team interactions and maximize interaction with key physicians.
- Develop relationships with new customers to unlock potential growth opportunities.
- Maintain regular and content-rich contact with the field team arranging appropriate individual and team meetings in coordination with the other SAM.
- Coach and develop sales team.
- Be passionate about innovation in ways of achieving business targets in line with company’s vision and values.
- Participate and provide local feedback to Global sales activities/projects.
- Ensure the sales team works according to Alexion Values, Business Ethics following Compliance and Quality requirements as per Alexion policies.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Degree in science.
- Preferably with a postgraduate degree in business.
- More than 10 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Preferably with experience in rare diseases.
- At least 4 years as sales manager.
- Leadership attitude.
- Team player and strong ability to collaborate with other functions.
- Analytical mindset.
- Results oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High level of English.
