IT Business Analyst – Global Marketing & Market Access

In this role, you will be the connective tissue between global marketing, market access, and technology—translating strategy into data-driven capabilities that help teams make confident, timely decisions.
You will lead discovery and design for high-impact use cases like automated dossier builds, negotiation tools, SLR local adaptation, and global value dossier writing—bringing clarity to ambition and pace to delivery. How would you design scalable standards so that AI can be trusted in high-stakes pricing analytics and evidence generation? Accountabilities:
- Strategic Translation: Convert commercial and market access strategies into actionable IT requirements and roadmaps aligned with enterprise data and analytics priorities, ensuring clear traceability to business outcomes.
- AI Use Case Discovery: Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and process mapping for AI-enabled capabilities (e.g., dossier builds, negotiation tools, SLR local adaptation, GVD writing) to prioritize value and feasibility.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with RDU and AstraZeneca IT teams to co-create solutions that accelerate launch readiness, pricing decisions, and access negotiations across markets.
- Requirements Leadership: Lead end-to-end requirements analysis—user stories, acceptance criteria, functional designs, and workflow definitions—and validate with cross-functional SMEs.
- Data and AI Standards: Ensure alignment with global standards, including data product principles, AI risk governance, and AI-ready data standards, embedding quality and trust by design.
- Solution Assessment: Support vendor assessments, statements of work, and trade-off evaluations between off-the-shelf and custom AI-powered solutions to optimize time-to-value.
- Governance and Compliance: Ensure solutions comply with regulatory, privacy, and ethical AI frameworks—particularly for access and pricing analytics—with clear documentation and auditable controls.
- Change Enablement: Drive communication plans, training, documentation, and onboarding for new digital and AI capabilities to achieve adoption and measurable business impact.
- Delivery Transparency: Provide timely, transparent reporting on project progress, risks, and dependencies; proactively remove blockers and escalate when needed.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Translate strategic business priorities into actionable IT requirements aligned to commercial and access data strategies.
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and process mapping for emerging AI use cases (e.g., dossier builds, negotiation tools, SLR local adaptation, GVD writing).
- Partner with RDU and AstraZeneca IT teams to ensure IT solutions advance business outcomes.
- Lead end‑to‑end requirements analysis for—including user stories, acceptance criteria, functional design, and workflow definition.
- Validate requirements with cross‑functional SMEs
- Ensure alignment to global standards e.g. data product principles, AI risk governance, and AI‑ready data standards
- Support vendor assessments, SOW creation, and evaluation of off‑the‑shelf vs custom AI‑powered solutions.
- Ensure requirements and solutions comply with regulatory, privacy, and ethical AI frameworks—particularly for access & pricing analytics.
- Drive communication plans, training, documentation, and onboarding materials for new digital and AI capabilities.
- Provide transparent reporting on project progress, risks, and dependencies.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience in global pharmaceutical marketing, market access, and pricing analytics across multiple regions.
- Background in rare disease, specialty, or high-science launches and payer negotiations.
- Practical familiarity with AI/ML solution delivery, including model governance, bias assessment, and human-in-the-loop design.
- Proficiency with Agile delivery methods and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence) and writing high-quality user stories.
- Knowledge of data product management, metadata, and AI-ready data standards; understanding of FAIR principles.
- Strong vendor management experience, including RFPs, SOWs, and build vs buy assessments.
- Working knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and applied controls for analytics and AI use cases.
- Ability to create engaging training, SOPs, and change materials that drive adoption and measurable behavior change.
- Experience collaborating with medical, HEOR, RWE, and biostatistics teams on evidence generation workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity for senior stakeholders and diverse audiences.
