Data Governance Manager

Accountabilities:
As a Data Governance Manager, you will play a crucial role within the Enterprise Data Office (EDO). You will ensure compliance with Data Loss Prevention, Data Access, Data Transfer and Data Classification Standards. You will collaborate with stakeholders to address and clarify issues related to minor noncompliance or misunderstanding of these Data Standards. Additionally, you will identify and assess risks associated with these areas and provide essential operational support for our Data Sharing Governance Framework and Data Sharing Agreements.

Responsibilities:

·Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve and explain any issues related adherence to data standards.

· Identify and assess risks related to Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Data Access, Data Transfer, and Data Classification.

· Support the day-to-day activities of Standard Leads, including ad hoc reporting on trends, analysis, and status.

· Provide operational support for the Data Sharing Governance Framework and Data Sharing Agreements, including sample-auditing and feedback/escalation on compliance. Treand.s

· Deputise for Standard Leads to provide coverage during their leave and intensive periods.

Essential Skills/Experience:.

· Experience and strong understanding of Data Security, including Data Loss Prevention, Data Access, Data Transfer, and Data Classification, ideally from a Risk or a Cybersecurity perspective.

·A graduate information management or data management qualification or extensive experience working within an information or data management setting.

·An understanding of relevant statutory frameworks applying to data governance such as the (e.g. Data Protection Act, GDPR etc)

·Familiarity or experience with Enterprise Data Governance approach and the 3 Lines of Defence Model

·Solid ability to extract information by questioning, active listening, and interviewing.

·Superb communication and social skills – able to collaborate closely with employees at all levels.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·Excellent writing skills, with the ability to produce clear requirements, specifications, and documentation.

·Demonstrable ability to communicate embed business process and system wide changes to a technical and non-technical audience.

· Ability to work under stress and manage conflicting priorities.
