Government and Public Affairs Manager

Introduction to role:
Join our team at AstraZeneca as a Government and Public Affairs Manager. This role is crucial in supporting senior managers through the management of internal processes, building relationships between AstraZeneca and regulatory commissions/authorities, and managing the administration of cases brought to regulatory authorities. 

Accountabilities:
As a Government and Public Affairs Manager, you will work closely with various teams to understand government issues impacting our business. You will identify opportunities to enhance our businesses, provide expert knowledge into the Public Policy and Issues team, lead interactions with outside agencies, develop engagement plans, lobby on key AstraZeneca issues with senior government officials, and develop, implement and measure the impact of the Government Affairs strategy.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with experience in government affairs/relations, lobbying processes and organization
- Broad experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industries
- Solid understanding and appreciation of political environments

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge of product pipelines of the company
- An understanding of specific issues impacting on AstraZeneca
- Advanced degree in public policy or law
- Ability to develop and implement strategies and drive positive outcomes
