As a Diagnostic Science Liaison (DSL), in AstraZeneca Oncology, you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives. This position will report directly to the OBU Diagnostic Lead.
The DSL is a field-based professional with scientific and diagnostic expertise. The DSL is responsible for providing diagnostic and scientific support for biomarker testing associated with AstraZeneca’s (AZ’s) marketed products to a variety of stakeholders like pathologists, molecular biologists, lab technicians, geneticists and oncologists.
The DSL demonstrates value by generating insights, by partnering with internal and external stakeholders and maintenaning a high-quality testing infrastructure in Greece.
What you will do
- Act as a diagnostic expert (technically & scientifically) for biomarker testing & platforms associated with the respective AZ brands (e.g. BRCA, HRD, EGFR, HER2, PD-L1, liquid biopsy, NGS, digital Pathology) to relevant external stakeholders; Plan, execute and follow up customer calls
- Generate diagnostics related insights (situation, trends) to shape the national brand strategy and identify issues in current biomarker testing landscape
- Collaborate with key national diagnostic and Key External Experts (KEE), other relevant external stakeholders, diagnostic companies and lab networks; develop and implement a KEE engagement plan.
- Implement the national diagnostic strategy and execute initiatives consistent with the local diagnostic plan
- Design and execute initiatives to optimize the quality of biomarker testing by removing/minimizing diagnostic issues and barriers (e.g. by optimizing the testing pathway)
- Collaborate proactively with the cross-functional team, exchange relevant insights and play an active role in the key account management and brand planning process
Essential for the role
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, in life science. PhD will be considered as a plus
- Previous experience in field based role (medical or commercial)
- Experience in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences
- Project Management experience
- Cross functional collaboration skills
- Adaptability / creativity
- Deliver Results
- Fluent in Greek and English
