Key Account Manager (Alexion Pharmacy Channel) İstanbul/Ankara
The Key Account Manager (Pharmacy Channel) is responsible for developing, managing, and sustaining strategic relationships with segmented pharmacies within the assigned region, maximizing brand presence and ensuring product accessibility in a highly competitive market. This role will be focused exclusively on the pharmacy channel and requires strong ability to build enduring, trust-based partnerships, raise brand awareness, and act as the primary point of contact for all needs and opportunities within this segment.
The KAM will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Sales, and Logistics, ensuring seamless execution of solutions that address pharmacy needs rapidly and efficiently. The ideal candidate is dynamic, energetic, highly communicative, and thrives in field-based, customer-facing roles. The KAM will play a pivotal role in reinforcing Alexion’s reputation and customer satisfaction in the pharmacy sector, in line with company values and relevant local regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a robust engagement plan with targeted pharmacies to achieve sustainable, long-term partnerships and maximize product availability and brand visibility.
• Conduct regular visits to segmented pharmacies, maintaining a wide and effective network across the assigned territory.
• Monitor and report on product availability and stock status within each pharmacy; proactively identify and address supply or accessibility gaps in close coordination with internal teams.
• Deliver educational and informational sessions to pharmacy staff as required, ensuring comprehensive understanding of the product, brand messaging, and safe handling/storage as per regulatory guidelines.
• Capture and analyze competitive intelligence, market trends, and customer feedback to inform tactical initiatives and maintain a competitive edge, always adhering to ethical standards and compliance regulations.
• Ensure coordinated, solution-oriented communications with internal departments (Marketing, Sales, Logistics) to support operational excellence and responsiveness to pharmacy needs.
• Maintain meticulous and timely records of all customer interactions and market activities within the company’s CRM systems, ensuring data integrity for business planning and analysis.
• Proactively track, assess, and support pharmacy customer satisfaction; champion initiatives to reinforce Alexion’s image and customer loyalty in the pharmacy segment.
• Remain fully compliant with pharmacovigilance, product quality, and medical information reporting requirements, communicating all relevant issues within stipulated timelines per local guidelines.
• Demonstrate exemplary professionalism, responsibility, and ethical standards in all customer and team interactions.
• Oversee the entire process from product sourcing at the warehouse to secure and timely delivery to hospital pharmacies; promptly identify and implement necessary improvements and corrective actions in case of any disruptions during this process, ensuring close coordination with relevant departments.
Essential Qualifications & Competencies
• Minimum 4 years of experience in pharmacy channel management or pharmacy sales within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with exposure to specialty or biotechnological products.
• Located in İstanbul or Ankara
• Proven success in developing strong, sustainable customer relationships in the pharmacy segment, with demonstrable brand-building achievements.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; outgoing, energetic, and comfortable with a highly mobile field role.
• Strong problem-solving ability, with proven skills in needs analysis and solution development in time-sensitive environments.
• Experience leveraging CRM tools for territory and relationship management.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team context.
• High degree of initiative, drive, and accountability.
• A positive, persuasive, and resilient attitude; a natural networker with strong follow-through.
• In-depth knowledge of Turkish pharmaceutical market regulations and good understanding of ethical codes governing pharmacy interactions.
• Solid educational background, preferably with a university degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within assigned region.
• Collaborative way of working with Commercial Operations, Finance, Sales and Marketing.
