■ Job Description / Capsule

Responsible for new product planning and life cycle management of existing products pipeline to maximize its opportunity/value and contribute to pursue R&I vision “Be the indispensable partner in transforming patient life with innovation” 

■ Typical Accountabilities

•    Lead the development of business cases to support early to late stage development and commercial investment decisions by leading comprehensive insight generation, competitive evaluation, market analysis based on primary/secondary data (Phase IDs, MC3 etc)
•    Lead the development and execution of the brand strategy and positioning for new indications/products
•    Lead commercial evaluation of new product/indication including AZ internal assets and external assets as BD opportunity and contribute for portfolio strategy development
•    Give commercial input proactively for the disease strategy development
•    Assist key internal processes for new indications/products including key financial processes and gate reviews with JLT and global team
•    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify new opportunities
•    Mapping and engaging key external experts, develop local activities for pre-launch and post launch including disease awareness and launch preparation plans together with existing brand teams
•    Collaborate with partners in Pricing & Market Access, A&I, R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Operations and Global team 

■Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

<Essential>

•    Bachelor’s Degree
•    Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical marketing and related roles with proven results in new product launches
•    Demonstrated Level 3 abilities across all 6 AZ Leadership Capabilities
•    Comprehensive understanding of the development and commercialization of pharmaceutical products in Japan
•    Comprehensive understanding of the Japan Healthcare environment
•    Strong English language capabilities 

<Desirable>

•    An advanced degree (MBA or PhD) is preferred
•    Respiratory, Biologics and/or immunology experience
•    Working knowledge of clinical trial / drug development process
•    New product planning, launch readiness preparation experiences are preferred
•    Market analyst/business analyst experiences are preferred
•    Broad, global and in-country commercial experience including respiratory, biologics and immunology pre-launch and launch
•    Strong strategic thinking, judgement and influencing skills to influence R&D to ensure strong commercial focus
•    Experience developing compelling business cases including forecasts and commercial investment requirements
•    Scientific acumen to collaborate with R&D to evaluate areas of differentiation to drive market leadership
•    Sufficient understanding of technical risks and the implications for the commercial aspects to future brands
