As Director of Corporate Affairs, Market Access and Regulatory Affairs, you will lead a team to be responsible for establishing and leading Hong Kong & Macau’s patient and market access strategy and executing with innovation and excellence. Building and optimising relationships and interactions with external and internal stakeholders, including payers, public health organisations, government and patient stakeholder groups. You will translate strategy and plans into new and expanded value creation and access opportunities for local products and portfolio, ensuring a better patient access of our products.

This position will report directly into the General Manager of Hong Kong & Macau. You will be part of the country leadership team.

You will work closely with Sales & Marketing, Medical Affairs, and our Innovation & Business Excellence team to ensure seamless customer experience and alignment toward the overall brand objectives.

Your job responsibilities will be:

  • Provides vision, leadership and operational oversight for the function of Market Access, Corporate and Government Affairs, Patient solutions, Patient affairs and Regulatory Affairs
  • Drives high levels of individual and team performance engagement as winning team
  • Develops and implements plans that increase market and patient access also payer excellence capabilities across the organisation

And Lead a team of 9 person to:

  • Collaborate with local cross-functional team, to identify rich market insights across patients, providers, and payers to develop comprehensive market access and effective payer strategy, pricing and reimbursement plan
  • Drive end-to-end Market Access plan for our key products and life cycle management, from pre-registration to hospital listing and reimbursement
  • Develop compelling and differentiated product value proposition, provide advice to business unit on affordability program that ensures patient access while stewarding brand objectives
  • Builds and optimises relationships with external stakeholders including payers, regulators, public health organisations and patient stakeholder groups. Shapes the external environment to strengthen the positioning of AstraZeneca’s products and portfolio
  • Strengthen partnership with Government and Healthcare authorities to deliver innovative and patient-centric solutions, improving people’s lives in Hong-Kong and Macau
  • Lead and support key and innovative Patient initiatives at Corporate level
  • Develop and implement the regulatory strategy of our products; ensure that the strategy is designed to deliver a rapid approval with advantageous labelling, in keeping with the properties of the products and the needs identified by the business, markets and patients
  • Plan, develop and execute communications strategies and programs for a wide range of external and internal communications initiatives of the company

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 10 years working experience in pharmaceutical industry with 3 years in market access or government affairs function
  • 3 years with people management responsibility
  • Strong understanding of the Hong Kong and Macau market access landscape and the legal/regulatory environment for pharmaceuticals
  • Teamwork and strong leadership skills, to give clear direction, set priorities, communicate clearly and ensure smooth execution of the team functions
  • An innovative thinker to lead and influence the team for new solutions
  • Able to gain alignment across different functions and stakeholders
  • Results oriented with excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Thorough understanding of customer and industry marketing practices and trends
  • Excellent command of both oral and written communication skills in English

Desirable:

  • Cross-functional experience in sales, marketing and strategic planning
  • Knowledge of drug regulatory affairs such as drug approval/registration
  • Knowledge of financial principles, business analysis & planning
  • Leadership experience and capability to lead a function
  • Proficiency in Cantonese & Mandarin
