What you’ll do
As a SHE Advisor on a 12-month contract, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational SHE support for the North Ryde Manufacturing site. You will manage the day-to-day operational SHE activities to support and assist key business partners and providing assistance in managing the risk profiles of the business. Other key responsibilities would include but not limited to:
Ensuring compliance with SHE legislation and AstraZeneca SHE policies
Providing SHE support to key stakeholders with the objective of continuous improvement and compliance
Conducting site inspections and developing action plans to address non-conformances and opportunities for improvement
Reporting and other administrative tasks
Essential for the role
Tertiary or formally recognised qualification (University or TAFE) in the area of occupational health and safety
Minimum 3 years experience working in an industrial SHE role
Sound understanding of SHE management systems, relevant standards and codes of practice.
Strong and effective experience in investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments, injury reduction and
Strong communication, interpersonal and people skills for all levels of the organisation.
Effective written, communication and presentation skills.
Desirable for the role
Experience in developing safety management systems, contractor management, chemical management and high risk work
Workplace Trainer and Assessor Cert IV
Experience in working in a GMP environment
SHE Management System Auditing qualification
Post Gaduate qualification
High level of computer literacy
