We have an exciting opportunity to join our Lisbon office as The Global Workday Payroll Technology & Integrations Lead! The Global Workday Payroll Technology & Integrations Lead also forms a key part of any global payroll project team leading on Workday payroll module & payroll integrations

This role sits between the in-country payroll teams and central HRIT and is a combination of Business Analyst & Product Owner activity.


One of the key deliverables is to ensure a more effective transition of business requirements into delivered functionality whilst working closely with technical developers and whilst limiting the local payroll teams’ need for understanding the configuration.

 To be successful in this role you will need to have a strong understanding of both operational payroll delivery and payroll technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the countries to understanding their demand ensuring process reviews are documented and mapping is completed to a high standard.

  • Reviewing and prioritizing demand requests and project activity, understanding the impact between the countries and advise (together with HRIT) on best way forward within the Global HR Demand framework.

  • Taking the lead in coordinating the Year-End update activity in Workday relating to key items of localized configuration, period schedules, payroll calendars, holiday calendars, and integrations schedules

  • Reviewing any issues including change requests and questions to ensure we retain a global oversight, educating countries as necessary, and ensuring we utilize the full potential of the Workday payroll module (including integrations and Cloud Connect for Third-Party Payroll)

  • Ensuring that the business has insight into future roadmaps, trends and share best practice across the business.

  • Collaborating with the country Payroll Leads to ensure that the end-to-end process is working and minimizes unnecessary manual processing where possible.

  • Working with HRIT and the Global Team Lead to co-ordinate all the necessary updates needed in Workday to ensure a seamless continuation of payroll processes for the next calendar year.

Critical criteria:

  • Workday Payroll and related integrations knowledge (e.g. PECI, Time PICOF etc)

  • Experience of payroll delivery and payroll technology.

  • Track record of working with global business services.

  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders to ensure understanding.

  • Strong communication skills and able to converse clearly across geographies with different audiences.

  • Ability to manage demanding and competing priorities effectively.

  • Business Analyst experience is desirable - particularly in a payroll implementation context.
